Easy Knitting Holiday 2005

What a surprise to find the Holiday 2005 Family Circle Easy Knitting released October 11th. I got mine yesterday at Heritage Hut. You've got to check out the felted knitting bag on the cover and needle case patterns that accompany it. A must for every knitter!

Shawls for United Way

Knitted these shawls in 2 weeks for our United Way charity auction at work. I couldn't part with mine (turquiose) but the pink sold for $24, multi $35, black $32 and autumn colors for $25. All for a great cause. Cast on 108 on 15 needles, alternating yarns and tying knot at ends. To keep the cost economical, I used Yarn Bee novelty yarns from Hobby Lobby. Posted by Picasa

Bad Brad's BBQ

Unusually warm weather led husband and I to pick a riding destination for the day so we landed at Bad Brad's BBQ in Pawhuska, OK. They claim to have the best BBQ in KS, TX and OK. My favorite are the cowboy beans. Posted by Picasa

Blues, Bikes & BBQ Rally

Fayetteville Posted by Picasa

This was our 3rd year to ride to the Fayetteville, AR rally in October. The weather was excellent and attendance has grown to an estimated 200,000. Hanging around the main drag in Fayetteville with my good riding friend, Stacy and her daughter, Harlee.
