DIY: Badge Necklace


A friend of mine inspired me to make my own badge necklace using wax linen thread, beads and a clasp. I just doubled the thread and tied knots before and after the beads securing them into place. I even had enough leftover beads in the package to make a matching wrap bracelet.

Beads from Santa Fe


On my last trip to Santa Fe I purchased these green glass beads and Hill Tribe silver beads to make a necklace. The green matches a belt buckle I got in Hill City, South Dakota last year on my trip to Sturgis. It's good to be able to tie items from my trips together.

DIY: Crystal Necklace

Inspired by one of my most treasured necklaces, I sat down with some grey crystal beads and headpins and started making double ended looped beads, connecting them together to make a longer necklace. Then I added a hand made silver heart pendant I had from Tracine's Treasures (Abilene, KS) to make a necklace and earring set.

DIY: Day of the Dead Bracelet

Oh, these skulls are cute and are going to make a fabulous Dia de los Muertos bracelet. I found these great beads and findings at a small, packed little bead and bauble shop in Hutchinson, KS called Amelia Beadelias. A shop that's worth the drive (or ride)!
